If you have any experience in software sales, you'll probably be disappointed with what you'll get at BambooHR. During training, you'll be introduced to basic high school level phone and email etiquette training's one would expect at an entry-level call center job. There is zero room for error as a BambooHR sales rep. Most companies will evaluate on a quarterly basis. BambooHR evaluates on a monthly basis. If you miss quota for 2 months, you could find yourself on a performance plan and the pressure is piled on to perform or you're out. I've seen reps who perform and hit quota for a year and have a bad month or two and are let go.
BambooHR promotes work-life balance. They even pay $2000 for you to take a vacation. Be careful doing this, because you will lose out on leads while you're away and could very well not hit your "monthly" number when you return from vacation.
In addition to the promoted "work-life" balance, as a sales rep at BambooHR you'll be expected to work international leads. Yes, this means getting up at midnight to do an hour-long demo with someone in India. In fact, a good percentage of leads that you receive are international so expect to be "on call" to contact these leads and close deals all throughout the day and night.
