Band-it - Machine Operator Band-It Employee Review

The organization is relatively small compared to previous companies I have worked at but no shortage of resources from Daddy IDEX. The company motto is double cash earnings every 5 years which trickles down to all business units. It is worth mentioning that Band IT, from what I have gathered, is the golden child of the IDEX family. The cash goal mentioned above, in my opinion, makes it a great organization to weather economic waves. It also creates opportunity to grow the business with capital projects and new product releases which seem to have saturated the pipeline with new managment in place (late 2018/early 2019). With new projects comes the ability to grow and consequently, I have found myself involved in projects across the business. It sounds cliche but no day is the same here. Management challenges growth from all levels of the organization and fosters a cohesive cultural, as well as a strong open door policy spearheaded by the new President. Whats more important is the senior leadership team has shown an ability to "walk the walk and talk the talk". Surveys taken every year are a common thing in companies. Executing on those is rare, but here it Band IT it seems to be taken very seriously and incorporated in annual plans over the last couple of years. Finally, the georaphic location in beautiful Denver, CO is a cherry on top. And I personally think it is one of the top places to work in the Denver metro area.

As with any company there are some cons.... Tuition reimbursement program could be better, I have asked a couple of people about it and havent really gotten a straight answer. The company is a long standing company in a niche segment and has been very profitable. Being fat and happy can sometime lead to very unsexy behaviors that cause bloat. This can be seen through the lack of agility when it comes to change. An aging work force that is at some levels content with "way things have always been" does tend to promote speed bumps.
