Pros

Got a small amount of experience in a veterinary environment.

Cons

In my case, illegal business practices (person in charge of keeping track of hours would "move" hours around to avoid having to pay people (including some of the vets on staff) overtime), terrible management, being expected to basically be "on-call" any day of the week, any hour (would sometimes work 14 hour days without any kind of a break because other employes were too close to going over 40 hours, thereby getting paid overtime, so they would have to go home early, leaving the rest of us to do the job of 3 other people who were not there) so really you couldn't have any plans outside work (I was asked, "what's more important to you, your job or your Sunday soccer team?"; we had to be available every day with no exceptions), putting a time limit on how long you could spend with a client (I once got yelled at because I was talking to an elderly couple whose older dog had just passed away (they were crying) for 15 minutes, which was apparently twice as long as I "should have" been talking to them), always pressuring the vet techs to do more and get through more pets faster, thereby giving each pet less individualized attention and care (I'm SURE many things got missed, looked over, or written down incorrectly because we were so rushed to go faster faster faster (= more money). My list could go on.

Pros

The team is cooperative, and helpful.

Cons

The wellness plans are confusing to a lot of clients which causes misunderstandings and chaos from time to time. Not the people , its those wellness plans

Pros

Benefits package is decent, engaging with clients and pets is rewarding. Diverse hospital teams.

Cons

It’s lip-service about employee well-being and caring about pets as the mission, unless it increases the bottom line. There are individuals within the hospital and company that certainly care on a personal level but overall, Banfield is just another Mars corporation looking for infinite growth.
