Pros
In general, most employees are nice.
Cons
Unfortunately, with the layoffs, people with the authority failed to act with integrity and created a hostile work environment and culture. At the end, the “old” guard remained and little was done to develop a culture that is necessary to sustain a cohesive brand, culture, or tone. Instead of cutting positions and moving on, management demeaned the work product of some employees to justify the cut despite having stellar performance evaluations. Bonuses are based on a pool and management determines arbitrarily who receives what, which further allows favoritism and dysfunction. There are better companies out there in banking with far superior products, tech, work/life balance, and culture. When your management is more focused on managing vs. leading, then that shows a need for proper training and a shift in focus from “old” to “modern.”
