Pros
My work family is an amazing group of people, not just those in my department but througought the facility. We managed to pull one another along and make it through our shifts. If it was not for the "lug nuts" that keep the wheels on "Banners Bus" moving it would be a dismal place to work.
Cons
Senior management. Forcing us to see so many patients that by the end of the shift I can't remember what they look like. Spending money on motion detectors in break-rooms, really? Censoring what we say to eachother about our working conditions, do not I repeat Do Not utter the words "unsafe" you will be labeled at problem maker and written up for unfounded reasons. In Peter S. Fines internal message to employees he stated that we need to provide excellent care to our insured patients as we want them to return, how are we suppose to treat those with no insurance, is Banner going to come up with a way to identify them for us, so we can treat patients selectively? We are forced to smile and ride the "Banner Bus", as they are quickly becoming a monoply. Don't ask questions, don't raise concerns about patient safety, don't call in sick, don't use FMLA, don't complain, just work, work work, with less staff and no support.
