Over run with bullies and “cool kids” cliques.
Management teams full of “bosses”, seriously devoid of any actual “leaders”, or any idea as to what the difference is.
Favoritism- different perks and consequences, depending on how well liked you are, for the same accomplishments or infractions.
Unable to retain qualified and passionate staff, close to 50% of staff within units are new grad and/or inexperienced RNs. Which only serves to decrease job satisfaction, increase burnout, and threaten patient satisfaction and safety.
