Pros
The work environment is very positive and trustworthy. I work Night shift and get 15% diff and an extra $3 an hr on weekends. I always have PTO because I feel like we have a great PTO accrual rate. Mine is always in the hundreds and still take tons of vacations. The best part of Banner is the management which always has your back and will help with work/life balance. I get at the minimum $1 dollar raise each year. The past few years they have been revalueing our pay and will get 2 to 4 dollar raise. I started at $22 an out and now make $35.5 an hour with 15% night diff which makes it over $40 an hour. I always hear the hype that Banner/Sonora Quest Lab don’t pay enough but I feel like we are now average in the state. I am satisfied and feel like Banner/Sonora Quest provide over the market average pay and benefits. I hear people talk bad but those are the horrible employees that are lazy and don’t get the good yearly reviews and end up losing out on the pay increases. I make $13 more an hour than when I started 9 years ago. We also get very good insurance benefits.
Cons
The only cons I can think of are the lack of protective sick time which is the state law. We get to use 40 hours a year for sick time and if we go over we get an occurance. After the 3rd occurance you get a write up. I have never received an occurance and use over 40 hours of sick time each year so I guess I have nothing to complain about. If the manager did enforce the rules I would then consider it a con. That is all I can think of cons.
