There was a review that gave some survival tips that was dead on. I want to add two more especially if you are in the GTO org. 1. Use a lot of buzzwords. Throw words like platform, digitize, unit costing, data driven and you will impress people. Does not matter if it applies to the situation or not. Just parrot what senior leaders are saying and repeat and you will be fine. 2. The GTO org is a backwater afterthought. PMs expect miracles from you while GTO leadership cares more about theoretical not practical approaches. To survive here just agree and add to the theoretical to make yourself sound smarter. Say things like “our digitized platform will solve our client pain points by integrating disparate workflows and will be AI enabled and data driven”. Don’t worry about what this means. You will sound like a genius and will survive.
