Pros

Love the decentralized nature of the position with BBSI. It creates ownership at all levels of the company, which is not a fit for everyone. Having been a referral partner before, I loved BBSI from the outside and now that I am on the "inside" I love it just as much, if not more. The impact we have on the companies we work with and the overall value we bring to clients is great! I have dozens of success stories of the positive impact we have with the clients we work with. Such an empowering feeling! The company takes great care of its clients, referral partners and team. There is ample training and support, however, you have to be self-driven enough to ask and seek. Coworkers are great and the overall culture of the company is great. It is a challenging position, which is great, because everyday pushes you to expand your skills. Very happy working at BBSI and a great fit for me!

Cons

Some complain about the benefits, but being an entrepreneur before, they are great as I didn't have any. With that said, benefits may be a drawback, but the company is actively working to add additional benefits to the company, better 401k, employee stock options, etc... It is a decentralized company. If you are looking for absolute structure this company will not be a fit for you. There is a lot of ownership required in all positions. I have seen people come in claiming that is what they want and then the reality of the position hits them and they move on, because it is not for everyone.

Working with a variety of clients provides valuable networking opportunities and exposure to different industries, making it a great place to build professional relationships and expand your experience.

Cons

Leadership has declined significantly compared to previous management. A major concern is the lack of trust shown toward employees, which has led to an environment where people feel micromanaged rather than empowered to do their jobs effectively. Previous leadership encouraged open communication, listened to employee feedback, and fostered a culture of mutual respect and accountability. In contrast, employee concerns and suggestions are often not acknowledged or acted upon, leaving many feeling unheard and undervalued. There is a noticeable lack of meaningful listening and engagement from management, which has contributed to low morale and a growing disconnect between leadership and staff. The overall work environment has become increasingly negative, with a culture that does not consistently promote trust, collaboration, or professional growth. Additionally, there have been instances of inappropriate jokes and comments that create discomfort among employees, further contributing to a workplace culture that can feel unprofessional, unwelcoming, and unsupportive.
