Pros

As other reviewers have mentioned this is a family company. With that seems to come a great sense of fidelity. Turnover rates are fairly low, and every manager was promoted from within. Frequently someone will be hired for a certain job but then be allowed to follow their passion into another department. I work a 40 hour work week except in rare cases. Holidays are pretty standard and becoming more generous, as is PTO. In the past two years I've been here, my salary has increased by 40%: Not many companies will salary chase employees in this way. 401k matching available. Health insurance is a cafeteria plan (you pick the plan) subsidized based on age and family size, in my case it worked out to about 50% subsidy.

Cons

Being a fairly small company (running on the profits of selling used clothing) BaseCamp Franchising can't really compete with the benefits offered by companies like Vivint and Adobe. Even if you pay for the most expensive health insurance option and leave the hospital a day early, a standard birth still costs a few thousand dollars. I see this more as the crummy insurance market than as any fault of BaseCamp. Founding family has a resale/retail background so occasionally they interact with employees in ways that seem unusual if you are used to a corporate environment.

Pros

Basecamp Franchising has some of the best leadership this industry has to offer and it is an absolute dream to work here. The culture and work life balance is unmatched. If you ever align with the roles we have available you should absolutely give it a shot. The work is unique and rewarding and the opportunities are limitless. The new CEOs and the tech leadership we have here today are comprised of the kind of people you would be proud to associate with and I have no hesitation navigating our challenges under their direction.

Cons

The pay may not be quite on par with the growth and expectations in the area. The benefits are also so so, but I think premiums are skyrocketing everywhere and the effort this company takes to acknowledge this and do the best they can is noted.

owning a business isn't for everyone, competition is hard in some areas (do your research), dealing with minimum wage employees
