I was told I'd have 8-12 appointments per week, and I wouldn't travel more than 1.5 hours away from home. Both were grossly misrepresented. It was more like 2-3 appointments a week and sometimes up to 3 hours away for one appointment on straight commission. New consultants beware, they told me they have gone through at least 10 consultants in the last 5 years in Des Moines alone. The only person who was able to see the leads was the same person who distributes the leads, who also cherry picks the good leads for himself.
Aside from the fact you're presenting the customer with a 13K shower or bath-tub remodel on average you're also required to maintain at least a 60% close rate. They emphasize "one call close" so if you're not into sales scripts, or pressuring the customer this is most likely a job you'd want to avoid.
