Pros

I tell everyone this is a great company to work for as a send job. A sales associate's hours varies since you have to work for your hours. I've had from 8-20 hours. During holiday I would see up to 35 hours a week. They value respect and integrity. Working here is like having a second family, you make so many friends. I've never experienced catty behavior here, and I worked with nothing but girls. I was a full-time student, and they don't have a problem working around your schedule.

Cons

Dishonest employees stealing your sales. I would have to be on the lookout and ring up my own customers in order to receive my hours. You have to work for your hours with this company. When I first started off here, it was fairly easy for everyone to get hours. After management hired a few dishonest associates, my hours plummeted. Management was well aware of these type of associates, yet they didn't know how to handle this confrontation. I expressed my desire to move up in the company, but was ignored. ***The company may be going for the worst, as they are only keeping a few people on their team. My store is a low volume store, and they only want to have 3 associates on the schedule (not including management which is 4) and another 3 associates for floorsets. That's ridiculous.***

Pros

Great brand to work for! Corporate leaders are great at motivating team down to associate level. (Not sure about Daniel yet though, I’m mostly referring to the tentured leadership team) There’s access to tools that offer clear communication (almost too much communication sometimes). Development is the core of this brand and managers are trained to foster internal talent when it’s identified. The product sold here is cherished by a huge fanbase as well- customers feed off of the excitement the associates have around the product.

Cons

Operationally demanding and challenging; don’t underestimate how much labor and planning goes into selling candles and lotion.
