Pros

With good management, it can be a fun place to work.

Cons

The corporation cut part time staff shifts from 4 hours a day to 3. Also, during the holiday season, I have been told that as many as 80 people have been hired to work in one store, though whether or not that is true, I don't know. There were strange limits to how many hours part time staff can work per week, and the corporation seemed to encourage stores to have a high number of staff to spread across a relatively low number of hours on the payroll.

Pros

Great brand to work for! Corporate leaders are great at motivating team down to associate level. (Not sure about Daniel yet though, I’m mostly referring to the tentured leadership team) There’s access to tools that offer clear communication (almost too much communication sometimes). Development is the core of this brand and managers are trained to foster internal talent when it’s identified. The product sold here is cherished by a huge fanbase as well- customers feed off of the excitement the associates have around the product.

Cons

Operationally demanding and challenging; don’t underestimate how much labor and planning goes into selling candles and lotion.
