Pros

Better pay and benefits than most retailers, decent employee discount, great networking opportunities, awesome products the staff really stands behind, 100% guarantee on products makes day to day business easy and the customers comfortable

Cons

Zero work/life balance, zero coaching/development at a higher level, more willing to look outside the company for talent than to internally promote, no retaliation policy is a sham - they’ll find a way to work you out so things like sexist comments from DMs go unreported, one of the female DMs in my region has been reported to HR multiple times for treatment of store managers with zero consequence (she literally still runs a district and is looked to as a “goal”), micromanagement beyond belief but somehow incredibly little support from higher level management, company 100% believes they’re too big to fail because of lack of competition so they may pay you better than others (still not a living wage) and give you great benefits but they will bleed you to do, especially at a store management level

Pros

Great brand to work for! Corporate leaders are great at motivating team down to associate level. (Not sure about Daniel yet though, I’m mostly referring to the tentured leadership team) There’s access to tools that offer clear communication (almost too much communication sometimes). Development is the core of this brand and managers are trained to foster internal talent when it’s identified. The product sold here is cherished by a huge fanbase as well- customers feed off of the excitement the associates have around the product.

Cons

Operationally demanding and challenging; don’t underestimate how much labor and planning goes into selling candles and lotion.
