Pros

At my first location, I absolutely loved it! Of course floor sets aren't always the greatest, especially when you are stuck with a group of women at night and exhausted. My Preston and Park location in Plano, Tx was the absolute best and I will love them forever. We had excellent team work and all got along. THAT"S how you run a store: creating an environment where associates enjoy each other and WANT to excel at customer service,

Cons

My new location is not so great. I'm obviously biased, but even the employees that have been there longer than me don't have a friendship with each other. We are not in business to make friends, I am clearly aware of this. However, I witness employees that dread walking into work. Management isn't horrible, but a few aren't great motivators. And delegate work in the wrong places. It's gotten so bad that I've DECLINED promotions. Now that is crazy.

Pros

Generous pay for management, paid holidays and maternity leave for full timers, good benefits. Treats us more like humans than any other business I’ve ever worked for

Cons

Work/life balance can be hard, especially around the holidays

Pros

Great brand to work for! Corporate leaders are great at motivating team down to associate level. (Not sure about Daniel yet though, I’m mostly referring to the tentured leadership team) There’s access to tools that offer clear communication (almost too much communication sometimes). Development is the core of this brand and managers are trained to foster internal talent when it’s identified. The product sold here is cherished by a huge fanbase as well- customers feed off of the excitement the associates have around the product.

Cons

Operationally demanding and challenging; don’t underestimate how much labor and planning goes into selling candles and lotion.
