Pros

Your coworkers are nice, and you can easily get along with them. Most customers are friendly.

Cons

This job has caused me to have some serious depression and anxiety. No matter what I do, it never seems to be enough for management. If you succeed your daily goal, managers will push for the next highest goal and if you don't obtain it, they will be very disappointed. They expect you to watch cashwrap/fix a whole wall/help customers and get the wall done within 10 minutes or less. If you're at cashwrap, your spah will be terrible, and some how your manager won't take that into consideration and cut your hours for no reason. Management doesn't even motivate you. They expect nothing but the best, but don't give you time to achieve that and make it impossible. Top seller only gets 15-20 hours a week. You're not top seller? You're most likely going to get anywhere between 0-8 hours a week AT MOST. They always add call ins to your shift, but never keep the call ins so you'll only be working 3.5 hours. They forget to give you breaks. They wear tennis shoes but yell if you do. They seem to think it's okay to hire their family. They have favorites. Good luck getting hours if someone steals your sales, or if the associate at cash wrap puts their name instead. Overall, a bad experience. Don't work here if you need money. Only work here if youre amazing at sales and don't have bills to pay. If you work a full shift, they won't give you two breaks like they're supposed to. Floor set is fun until your manager gets mad that you don't know what piece is what when you haven't been properly trained. They don't even train you when new products come out, so you have to study that yourself. I used to love working here, but it has slowly but surely ruined my self esteem and i'm ready to quit any day now.

Pros

Great brand to work for! Corporate leaders are great at motivating team down to associate level. (Not sure about Daniel yet though, I’m mostly referring to the tentured leadership team) There’s access to tools that offer clear communication (almost too much communication sometimes). Development is the core of this brand and managers are trained to foster internal talent when it’s identified. The product sold here is cherished by a huge fanbase as well- customers feed off of the excitement the associates have around the product.

Cons

Operationally demanding and challenging; don’t underestimate how much labor and planning goes into selling candles and lotion.
