Pros

Bath & Body is a fun and upbeat place to work. I worked here part time during all 4 years of college. As I used to tell customers, employees get paid to play in their favorite store all day. Management sets friendly competition between the different stores in the district, and there are rewards for exceeding sales plan.

Cons

Scheduling is based directly on your sales. High sales mean more hours. This is good for employees who are good at selling, but there's more than just selling to the business. There can be good cashiers and good replenishers who don't get scheduled because their sales aren't high enough (which is what happened to me). It's a catch 22 because low sales mean less hours, and with less hours, you have less opportunity to get your sales up.

Pros

Great brand to work for! Corporate leaders are great at motivating team down to associate level. (Not sure about Daniel yet though, I’m mostly referring to the tentured leadership team) There’s access to tools that offer clear communication (almost too much communication sometimes). Development is the core of this brand and managers are trained to foster internal talent when it’s identified. The product sold here is cherished by a huge fanbase as well- customers feed off of the excitement the associates have around the product.

Cons

Operationally demanding and challenging; don’t underestimate how much labor and planning goes into selling candles and lotion.
