Pros

Great discount 30% at all B&BW’s and Victoria’s Secret/Pink stores. Gratis (free company product that company distributes to employees to be able to give their own testimony on) is given every month.

Cons

Unstable hours, paycheck, and terrible management. They expect their employees to go above and beyond and have Key holders sometimes work over 40 hours a week without providing them with full-time benefits or even PTO. SPAH (sales per associate hour) is designed to motivate the team to perform better and track their sales however, this is also a factor into how your hours are scheduled. If you have a low spah then you have little to no hours. It makes sense when you have employees not wanting to sell and do their job but it also punished those who are trying to perform but the traffic is not there or the purchases aren’t large enough. After the holiday season things slow down and people don’t want to spend but the company expects you to make sales plan even without anyone walking by your store. Sometimes my manager would force me to send associated home who had literally just clocked-in. Legally they’re supposed to give you at least a 2 hour notice, needless to say managers often don’t follow this rule. Floorsets are fun because you get to work and listen to music and talk to your coworkers in a more comfortable setting without any customers around and while pulling and pushing new product onto the walls, tables, fixtures. However, every BBW store I’ve Worked for expects you to stay well past your scheduled shift regardless of any plans. And if you try to stand your ground they do all they can to guilt trip you. Working around the holidays can be fun, so much to see and try and so many deals but customers are a lot more rude during this time - don’t apply if you don’t like people.

Pros

Great brand to work for! Corporate leaders are great at motivating team down to associate level. (Not sure about Daniel yet though, I’m mostly referring to the tentured leadership team) There’s access to tools that offer clear communication (almost too much communication sometimes). Development is the core of this brand and managers are trained to foster internal talent when it’s identified. The product sold here is cherished by a huge fanbase as well- customers feed off of the excitement the associates have around the product.

Cons

Operationally demanding and challenging; don’t underestimate how much labor and planning goes into selling candles and lotion.
