Pros

The discount is nice and you get it both at Bath & Body and Victoria's Secret. I worked at several different stores for the company and my co-workers were always awesome. You get a decent amount of free product, but you can tell the company has gotten a lot more stingy with it.

Cons

The Customer Sales Lead position comes with a lot of responsibility without the pay (and no benefits if you work part time). I had a lot of the same responsibilities as the co-managers, held accountable for most of the same measures, and got paid a fraction of what they did. Even though I was part-time, I often worked over 30 hours a week, again with no benefits. Every time I asked for less, they would go down for a week or two and pop right back up to 30+ because of "business needs". Management turnover was very high and you often found yourself taking on additional responsibilities outside of your job description. Upper management expects more of you then you can possibly do with the hours/payroll you are given. Don't expect to be promoted, even if you get excellent marks on your reviews. They will always find some reason why they have to hire from the outside. All in all it really depends on the the management at your store. The first store I worked for (as a sales associate) was fine. Both had store and co-managers who had been with the company 5+ years. If interviewing for a management position, try to find out how long everyone has been there, if they worked their way up, and the general management turnover for the store. It will really make a difference. If the store has recently been remodeled, I would not take a position there.

Pros

Great brand to work for! Corporate leaders are great at motivating team down to associate level. (Not sure about Daniel yet though, I’m mostly referring to the tentured leadership team) There’s access to tools that offer clear communication (almost too much communication sometimes). Development is the core of this brand and managers are trained to foster internal talent when it’s identified. The product sold here is cherished by a huge fanbase as well- customers feed off of the excitement the associates have around the product.

Cons

Operationally demanding and challenging; don’t underestimate how much labor and planning goes into selling candles and lotion.
