Great company culture, toxic store management - Key Holder Bath & Body Works Employee Review

I was there for only a short while because the store manager was insufferable micromanager who only looked out for her own self interest at the expense of her team members. Employee turnover was an issue. Manager policed her team and almost never took accountability for her mistakes. Often when the store manager was confronted by the regional manager for a short coming, the store manager was quick to shift the blame onto individual team members. She would call them over to scold them in front of the regional manager with our warning to save her skin, I found this to be absurd. I have worked in similar management positions for years and took this job as a fun job, but seeing this management style after having worked in other stores in a store management position blew my mind. As a store manager you are payed almost 3-4 times as much as your associates in order to take responsibility for EVERYTHING that happens to your store. Anyway, I was told by many longtime employees that this manager was a trope for many others who are successful at becoming managers in the company. Which I believe to be true because I have worked with ex bath and body work managers in other retail companies and have encountered similar behaviors.
