Pros

The discounts are alright, 30% off the products, and the store I worked at had sales competitions where you can win things like Starbucks gift cards and lotions. If you like scents and that kind of stuff, its a great place to work because you can really get to learn about the products there. They have goals set for you each day. At first I thought it was stupid, but for some reason, it made me work harder to complete those goals, even though there were no consequences or rewards for meeting them, but it helped you keep focus.

Cons

The hours suck. That was the biggest downside. They need to meet a certain number of employees. So I had 15 different co-workers...but I work once a week...sometimes every other week and they only schedule you for 3 hour shifts because they want you to be super energetic those three hours. And then they have these "on-calls" where its like every day, and you pretty much need to set those hours aside to call. 99% of the time, they don't need you to come in, but its a waste of time.

Pros

Great brand to work for! Corporate leaders are great at motivating team down to associate level. (Not sure about Daniel yet though, I’m mostly referring to the tentured leadership team) There’s access to tools that offer clear communication (almost too much communication sometimes). Development is the core of this brand and managers are trained to foster internal talent when it’s identified. The product sold here is cherished by a huge fanbase as well- customers feed off of the excitement the associates have around the product.

Cons

Operationally demanding and challenging; don’t underestimate how much labor and planning goes into selling candles and lotion.
