Pros

I have worked at BBW for 5 months now. The discounts are pretty good. 30% off products, excluding sale items. The employees working there are great, they understand where you are coming from becasue most of them are in the same position. Sometimes you get a free travel size of a scent for attending an important meeting.

Cons

I don't expect to be payed much since I am sort of new, but minimum wage and 3 hours a week just does not cut it. I recieved a single 3 hour shift per week for many weeks. I sometimes had just one 3 hour call in per week, and they never need you for call ins. This is a very independent job, you are not told about a lot of new products/sales. When I was newer and I would ask a question I would ALWAYS get an unclear answer with an attitude. You had to fight for yourself. The managers were always in the back room eating and gossiping about the other girls.

Pros

I previously worked in the field (for a different brand) and we were always so weary of corporate teams coming into the stores. However, the corporate team at Bath & Body Works is absolutely incredible, supportive, and does everything they can to advocate for the stores. The entire Store Ops team is full of people who care deeply about the brand, the store associates, and the customer.

Cons

A lot of meetings. But being remote, it was nice to see faces throughout the day!

Pros

Great brand to work for! Corporate leaders are great at motivating team down to associate level. (Not sure about Daniel yet though, I’m mostly referring to the tentured leadership team) There’s access to tools that offer clear communication (almost too much communication sometimes). Development is the core of this brand and managers are trained to foster internal talent when it’s identified. The product sold here is cherished by a huge fanbase as well- customers feed off of the excitement the associates have around the product.

Cons

Operationally demanding and challenging; don’t underestimate how much labor and planning goes into selling candles and lotion.
