Pros

-Friendly interview experience -Decent pay (when you get it) -If you land the managers good side, you might enjoy it

Cons

-They assess you during training and immediately decide if you're worth it, or not In 8 months of employment, I was called in a total of 4 times (one of which was a mandatory meeting) -Clear divide between favored and nonfavored employees Several employees recieved top hours, while other employees I spoke to, like myself, could go MONTHS without a shift. The higher hour employees basically ignored the lower hour employees and didn't speak to us, or could be heard gossiping about 'who we even were' -Hostile and two-faced management The management was, at best, obnoxiously customer servicey to your face, and at worst, blatantly accusatory and hostile. My last shift (sometime before November), I had finished my tasks and tried to find the store manager to ask to clock out. While waiting for her to finish up something, another manager approached me and asked if I was trying to "run out the clock." Not to mention searching everyone's belongings on the way out to make sure no one is shoplifting on the job.

Pros

Great brand to work for! Corporate leaders are great at motivating team down to associate level. (Not sure about Daniel yet though, I’m mostly referring to the tentured leadership team) There’s access to tools that offer clear communication (almost too much communication sometimes). Development is the core of this brand and managers are trained to foster internal talent when it’s identified. The product sold here is cherished by a huge fanbase as well- customers feed off of the excitement the associates have around the product.

Cons

Operationally demanding and challenging; don’t underestimate how much labor and planning goes into selling candles and lotion.
