Pros
Some of the best minds in the world who are there not for money or recognition, but for simply working. The opportunity to work at pretty much any field that you want exists, especially if you have the passion for it.
Cons
Some ego management is required. Also some bureaucracy. But not that much more than what I have seen elsewhere.
