Pros

-Great work life balance -Half days on Friday in the summer -Great benefits -Friendly and helpful people -Working on products that save and sustain lives

Cons

Technical design work is rare and more on the sustaining side so technical and more ambitious individuals may want to stay away from now. The company is moving toward having more opportunities for engineering and NPD work, but who knows how long that will take. Also, due to a history with getting in trouble with the FDA, processes are very slow and contain many non value added steps.

Pros

Business hours. You get weekends and holidays off.

Cons

Lack of care for employee wellness. Constant budget cutting causing them to underhire and overwork the existing employees. Employees are often asked to go beyond their job descriptions and do tasks that would overlap with those of a higher pay grade than them in order to avoid hiring more high paying qualified employees to complete the work. When hardworking valuable long-term employees ask for a pay raise they are told they should be there for the passion of the work and not for money. Managers ask employees to do last minute tasks that the managers have had months to plan for then get upset when employees can't deliver immediately due to still needing to meet daily expected production numbers. Employers completely disregard that employee wellness includes being able to afford a dignified life outside of work and being able to keep up with rising price of rent, groceries, and general cost of living.
