Pros

Business hours. You get weekends and holidays off.

Cons

Lack of care for employee wellness. Constant budget cutting causing them to underhire and overwork the existing employees. Employees are often asked to go beyond their job descriptions and do tasks that would overlap with those of a higher pay grade than them in order to avoid hiring more high paying qualified employees to complete the work. When hardworking valuable long-term employees ask for a pay raise they are told they should be there for the passion of the work and not for money. Managers ask employees to do last minute tasks that the managers have had months to plan for then get upset when employees can't deliver immediately due to still needing to meet daily expected production numbers. Employers completely disregard that employee wellness includes being able to afford a dignified life outside of work and being able to keep up with rising price of rent, groceries, and general cost of living.
