Pros

Good pay and benefits compared to peers

Cons

- Toxic culture between Information technology leadership and business leadership. These issues cascade down through the ranks - Germany runs every decision, and the US reacts - Classic corporate waste; favortism at upper levels, appearance of progress is more important than actual measurable progress - Work life balance depends on your manager - so you'll need to get lucky here - Planning for pay increase or grade level increase is not transparent, again, making you feel 'lucky' if you receive either - Academic achievement is considered as the most elite achievement. Individuals without a formal education are looked down on and have much less opportunity for increased responsibility and advancement, irrespective of 'actual' contributions to the company - The entire Bayer organization is too big for its own good - Leadership at all levels are immature, and have no clue how to scale horizontally or vertically
