Pros

I really don't have anything positive to say

Cons

1. Bayer HR offered me the wrong location when I came in as a college new hire. They told me I would be working in the Pittsburgh, PA office when I was supposed to be in the Whippany, NJ office. After signing a lease and finding roommates in Pittsburgh, they realized their mistake a couple of weeks before my start date. They then tried to make me move to Whippany last minute and deemed it "my own misunderstanding." Bayer's HR team is incompetent. 2. They do not appreciate young talent or new ideas. I would never suggest a recent college higher to work for Bayer. Only age and tenure is respected there. 3. It is an environment where old, white men call the shots. Very few women are in leadership within the IT department.

Pros

Better pay than other companies My team - full of hardworking and knowledgable individuals.

Cons

Leadership/Management - can be micromanaging at times and not a lot of guidance/resources being provided. Projects can change swiftly at Bayer, and most of the times there's no background context given. Work/life balance - asked to be "flexible" with schedule for last-minute requests, then criticized for having life/responsibilities outside of work. Also, these last minute requests reflect poor planning on management. Lack of team morale - seems like it's all work and not a lot of play. Burnout culture and not a lot of incentives to perform better.
