Pros

The school has an impressive ambition to be both a top tier research university and a Christian-identified one. With the new leadership, this goal seems achievable within a decade.

Cons

Some influential faculty still view diversity as a threat and will do everything they can to prevent nonwhite and women faculty from joining and/or finding promotion in the university.

Not many cons. Like other higher education roles, you’re paid in benefits like vacation, health leave, etc.
