Generous Benefits - Assistant Director Baylor University Employee Review

Pros

Generous time vacation time and sick leave, 403(b) contributions, and tuition remission.

Cons

Salary increases do not keep up with inflation. Additionally, there are no annual bonuses, stock options, and there's little financial incentive "to work smarter not harder" because of the required "8am-5pm" office structure and limited remote work. Additionally, much of HR's view of your salary is wrapped up in your "overall compensation" meaning your 403(b), etc.

Pros

Positive culture, management is receptive to feedback, clear path for promotions/new opportunities.

Cons

Not many cons. Like other higher education roles, you’re paid in benefits like vacation, health leave, etc.
