Facility is clean. Staff is very team oriented and can get as much help as you need.

Cons

Management is all over the place. Scheduling issues can leave understaffed days several times a week

We are glad you are receiving good support from your team and we agree that our housekeeping department does a fabulous job with keeping the facility clean! Scheduling issues become problematic, we agree, when staff call off. Management does have the responsibility to fill the open shifts in order to maintain a very specific staff to resident ratio to avoid being understaffed. There is always room for improvement and we would like to hear the suggestions you have to help us improve. Please feel free to submit them to our suggestion box or the HR office (you can choose to be anonymous).

Pros

I've worked at Baywood Court for over 10 years. I've stayed because of the people (co-workers and residents), it's a safe place to learn, the pay is competitive based on market data and demographics, it's meaningful work (servicing seniors), there is autonomy to make decisions, and we have fun even though we have a lot on our plates each day (but what workplace doesn't have work that needs to get done!)

Cons

Working with seniors, in many cases, this is the last leg in their life journey and it is sad when their journey ends. But being able to service and care for them, provides meaning and purpose.
