Pros

so many of my co-workers were the best ever, i miss them terribly. you get to meet a lot of new people as employees quit or get fired before their background check comes back.

Cons

terrible pay, terrible hrs, corporate has no clue how to run the stores, they need to actually work in the stores to see just how hard the employees work. the employees need to be treated with respect after all we do have our dignity and don't appreciate having corporate attempting to take it away. we were threatened almost daily in our morning meetings that if we didn't reach our goals of emails and credits we were out the door. way to much gossip going on from top management down. customers are allowed to return items no matter how many years they've had the items, whether they have a receipt or not. the return policies need to be changed before bealls is no more. they complain about payroll dollars, but they have ad sets every other day....1 ad a week is sufficient. so many customer complaints....lines are too long-decide to leave instead of waiting......therefore losing profit-think about adding staff, no more than they pay they would be ahead at least the customer wouldn't leave and take their money with them.the stores are so hot its almost impossible to work. need to work out a system so customers are not allowed to use their bealls bucks if they have previously returned their merchandise-how about adopting a program like kohls has to deal with this issue.

Pros

he pros of working at Bealls are the opportunity to grow in customer service, leadership, merchandising, and store operations. It is a good place to build communication skills, teamwork, problem-solving, and retail management experience while working in a fast-paced environment.

Cons

Some of the cons are that company policies and procedures change frequently, which can make it challenging for employees to keep up with expectations. The company also appears to be shifting toward a model similar to TJ Maxx, Ross, and Marshalls, but without always providing the same level of training, staffing, or pay structure. Another concern is the lack of consistent pay raises, even when employees take on additional responsibilities
