The onboarding process was unorganized- I had to constantly ask for things and next steps. Does a training manual even exist? I was told I was being “thrown to the wolfs” after a measly 7 days of training. Manager spoke to me twice in the 8 days I worked there. Did not feel supported at all. Casual talks about sexual harassment experiences upon employees. Says you don’t need construction knowledge when you absolutely do. I could tell in the 8 days that there are no boundaries between homeowners and this role. Most of my field training was spent walking in 98 degree heat and picking up construction material after lazy builders.

Involvement with Fisher House, growth potential in role, exposure to a lot of things, management pretty accessible

Cons

Lots of hours, not everyone is prioritized for a promotion, seems to be a bit of favoritism, work life balance isn’t great
