Pros

Treat people well - flexible hours, good compensation and benefits, ability to work from home, and managers that respect work life balance. You get a 3 month sabbattical after 10 yrs working. Great at what they do - and lots of opportunity to do interesting work. Very accessible senior management and executive team. Feels like a small company though its roughly 1500-people strong. Not too hard to navigate. People are genuinely friendly and there are some deeply talented individuals here.

Cons

Traditionally an underwriting-led company, so other functions have to shout to be heard. Slow to change when it comes to technology and the core business. Many people have worked here for 10+ years. Smaller company means its harder to move around departments as jobs don't come up that often. A little bit of unconscious bias does exist in pockets in management.

Pros

-team by team, but culture was really nice. Had a family feel, this is slowly going away -free lunch -lots of fun events -really nice offices -creative UWing, love the job and flexibility -our reputation is amazing in the industry -working with claims and everyone on all level. Easy to talk to anyone and group think

Cons

-executives blame employees for problems they create. The executives are the worst part of Beazley -heavy workload with lots of people leaving recently -some teams have toxic culture (mine does, and you can tell with how bad the turnover is) -salaries can be low and bonuses are getting weaker. Higher ups dont always want whats best for you either -I really dont like what has been happening to Beazley the past 2 years, I am worried with the Zurich purchase for we are a shell of what we used to be in such a short amount of time
