Pros
Excellent work environment, colleague support, management, compensation, benefits. Very transparent and open lines of communication exist within each department and company-wide. The standard code of conduct facilitates business across all departments within the company, as well as across international borders. The global nature of the company allows one to work with a group of culturally sensitive and highly competent group of people. Work/life balance is not only supported but greatly encouraged with a comprehensive benefits package, extensive promotion of health and safety at work, and special employee-only discounts (eg.: membership to gyms). Community service events is also regularly organized and heavily attended.
Cons
As a non-engineer in an engineering company, career growth is naturally, limited. But this is a great place to start or develop your career in any field. As an engineer or human resources professional, for example, one has almost limitless opportunities for career development and growth, as well as international placement opportunities (both, permanent and temporary assignments). As an entry-level graphic designer (my current position at the company), for example however, the advancement is limited to expanding one's discipline-based knowledge and skills. Despite all this, this company is a great place to start and/or develop one's career. The management skills I have acquired here will stay with me in any endeavor.
