Pros
Bechtel has good pay, opportunities, and good work environment, but probably the best thing is the company is still family owned. Pay is generally pretty good. You do get paid for what you do. Most jobs are hourly, so if you work more you get paid more including overtime. It's not like some places I've worked where the pay seems great at first, but then the employer works you 60 to 70 hours a week. The firm is fairly diverse with a lot of different divisions, so when one division is doing poorly there's usually another that's doing good. There's a lot of opportunity for travel and relocation. I have not explored this yet, but there are a lot of people in the office that have done this. Many have done overseas assignments, but I don't believe there are many for people with my title. Being a private company seems to be a plus. This allows the company to make good long term decisions and not worry about the next quarter.
Cons
If you're not an engineer there's still a place for you, but you can easily be overlooked since those are the "rock stars".
