Pros
Bechtel is a professional engineering and construction company, and that's why it has attracted talented people from around the world. I am happy to have the opportunity to work with these people and learn a lot from them. The overall culture is also quite good, with every manager I met demonstrating their skills and excellent work ethic, which brought reliability to employees and clients.
Cons
Bechtel may be too big to maintain the standard of in-house training. I have learned most of my skills and knowledge through on-the-job training rather than accepting basic training at different levels. I don't think there's anything wrong with that, because my supervisors have all been supportive and I've felt comfortable learning from mistakes. But as big as it is, there should be a more comprehensive training programme to make new employees fit into the workplace as soon as possible.
