Pros

Working with the learners is fun and can be rewarding if you have a lot of patience.

Cons

The company makes you go through the mandatory training, however after that there’s not much communication from the company or higher ups other than supervision hours. Also don’t expect to get many hours. Definitely need a second job.

Pros

Working with the kids is incredibly rewarding, and seeing their progress makes the job meaningful. Supportive families and engaged supervisors or BCBAs can make for a great experience and provide valuable opportunities to learn.

Cons

Communication between BCBAs, supervisors, BTs, and families is often inconsistent. Much of the BCBA supervision is conducted through Telehealth, which can feel impersonal and leave BTs with little guidance. Long drives between clients, limited benefits, and inconsistent management support can also contribute to burnout.
