Pros

Three weeks vacation from the start plus up to 20 sicks days per year. Fair pay.

Cons

Although there were 20 sick days per year the company only let you take 8. If you took more than 8 it could prevent you from being promoted or just moving laterally to a new position. Old people with old ideas who still think it is the 1960s. The typical attitude seemed to be "you are lucky to work for Bell and you owe your soul to the company." The main plants are basically falling apart and need seriously renovation. Treated salried professionals like they were hourly. Training was encouraged and was availabe but it had to be on the employee's own time.

Pros

This is one of the nicest companies to work for. Everyone is genuine, down t earth, and kind. People are eager to answer your questions and give you meaningful work if you ask for it.

Cons

If you don't work to plug yourself in, you will not have the working knowledge to participate in the job. Without your own effort, it would be easy to coast by and fly under the radar. It is difficult to fold in a completely unexperienced intern into contracting unless the intern is proactive to learn and ask questions.
