Constantly understaffed, encourages a revolving door of staff. Solitary Confinement - Leasing Consultant Bell Partners Inc. Employee Review

Pros

Decent pay. Pretty communities.

Cons

Employee benefits are lacking. Be prepared to work every weekend, and much of your work week will feel like solitary confinement. During the interview process I was told that weekends would rotate, and that every weekend would not be required. Bell Partners has a serious morale problem, especially in the Atlanta region. Employees are not recognized for the hard work that they put in for the property level - heck they aren't even told happy birthday by upper management. For a company that prides them self in improving employees skills, they really do not try to retain staff. Two coworkers were persecuted for "poor performance" ultimately being terminated, however the issues which they were terminated for were failings on the companies behalf. A large focus is put on numbers, no explanation from the employees point of view is allowed.

Thanks for your feedback. I'm sorry you are disappointed in our benefits. We conducted a benefits survey last year, and received positive feedback. We also added a number of benefits in response to comments we received on that survey. If you have any safety concerns, please call me directly. Thanks. Mary Copeland, SVP Human Resources, 336-232-1900.

Pros

Bell is a company that truly believes human capital is key to achieving great results. The support from upper management is amazing, and every interaction is based on respect and consideration. The Bell Buddy program is outstanding because it makes you feel supported and welcomed at all times.

Cons

No birthday day off. It would be nice to have a day off to be recognized on your birthday.

Pros

Pay was great. Many great employees and leadership until they laid off many.

Cons

I was there due to a management switch. My goal was to be there at least 5 years. In March, there was a layoff. I wasn’t laid off but was told my position would soon be in a matter of months. Due to restructuring I was transferred to a new property where the manager of the property had many insecurities and lacked integrity. This is where I was told my position was going to be eliminated 3-6 months after everyone. It did not make sense to me because it appeared other Bell owned properties were keeping there ACMS. Come to find out after I resigned this was not true as my position was posted again. The cm even worked with my schedule for interviewing. At first, I thought what a nice thing to do. After I left I realized what I was told was not the truth. This manager also said some very questionable things about my character that was never communicated to me ever. I won an award at the awards ceremony. Traditionally, winners are invited to the awards. I was not. No one employee from Bell bothered to tell me until days after. Who wants to work with a manager who goes what out of their way to exclude someone. I planned to be there long term. Beware of not so honest managers and be careful who you hire obviously. The team has not been happy with this manager.
