Caring team with flexible hours but limited guidance - Photographer Bella Baby Photography Employee Review

The people who work there are great, loved my manager and coworkers (in bella and in the hospitals) Liked the flexible hours and self-management aspect of the job. Really helped me to develop confidence in the work place when it comes to sales and work ethic.

Worked there when the company was changing a lot of employee expectations and felt the changes didnt always match the pay. They also measure your performance based on percentages (which is perfectly fine) However, there were a couple of times when the numbers were calculated wrong, and they attempted to put me on a PIP because of incorrect numbers even after I showed them the numbers were incorrect.

The people are what make this company special. The leadership team is supportive, approachable, and genuinely cares about both employees and the families we serve. The work is meaningful because you get to be part of such an important milestone in people's lives, and there are opportunities to grow into leadership roles if you're willing to put in the effort. There is a strong sense of teamwork, and many employees are passionate about helping one another succeed.

The job can be demanding, especially in leadership. Staffing shortages, last-minute schedule changes, and balancing multiple priorities can make it difficult to maintain work-life balance. Since photographers work independently across many hospitals, coaching and communication can also be challenging. Compensation could be more competitive given the level of responsibility expected in management positions.
