Pros
• Employees truly care about the residents and treat them like family • Facility is nice and homey, property is in a beautiful setting and conveniently located • Residents seem to be content with the personal care, food, activities and programs • There are good working relationships within employees, hardworking & dedicated management team • Each resident concern is taken seriously and addressed
Cons
• Community Managers are not fully supported by upper management • Too much time spent on unnecessary paperwork, extremely administrative • Job descriptions for admin/management positions are very misleading. Non-exempt employees performing ‘exempt’ job duties but not receiving the proper titles and compensation • Bonus based on attendance is intended to encourage employees to show up for work but does not take special circumstances into consideration. Lazy, unreliable employees could receive the same recognition as valued, hard-working employees • The pay increase system is applied across-the-board, therefore tenured loyal employees are not compensated fairly
