Pros
Great pay if you're a manager (slightly under par otherwise) Flexible amount of sick days
Cons
- 0 possibilities for development (I was there 3 years; every single manager was hired externally and I know personally quite a few lower-level employees who left because they couldn't even move sideways. No budget unlocked for classes/training/relevant conferences and not allowed to go anyway) -Cutthroat attitude highly valued by senior management. One senior manager of a different division was extremely weak in the soft skills of management (micro managed, blamed his employees for his mistakes, did not communicate plans/vision) and I know a colleague in another department who had to complain to HR because her boss was too abusive. In my department, an established star performer of many years was driven to the ground and fired by her new VP (who was, ironically, fired from his previous job for being too inhumane. That part I learned from acquaintances at his old company).
