Pros

I currently work in Benchmark Education's technology group. Overall, my experience has been great and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at the company. The company has continually grown year after year, regularly providing new learning opportunities for its employees. The company has done extremely well positioning itself for the emphasis on digital, and is positioned well for future success. The CTO in particular is a very talented, hard working leader and clearly has a vision for the company. The leadership team is strong and despite the pains that come with a growing business, manage, inspire, and take care of the employees well. They open up opportunities for employees to grow into and promote a family-oriented culture.

Cons

There are definitely intense times but it's really no different from any other company and this comes with the territory of a fast-paced, high growth company.

Pros

I became incensed when I came across the reviews on Glassdoor and wanted to contribute my own review. I suppose things have changed here at Benchmark because I have a completely different view of this organization. I work fully remote from home. The culture is collaborative. People are NICE and very professional!! The 401k benefits match at 25% of my contributions (not 3 or 4% like most companies) AND they have a profit sharing bonus. It's a very inclusive and diverse company. Thank you, Benchmark. I'm going to reach out to other employees and see if we can 'up' these numbers with positive reviews!

Cons

I wish I could visit the main headquarters and meet my peers in-person someday.

Pros

May be manageable if you are 100% remote.

Cons

If you have to be in the New Rochelle office, it is truly a strange place with bizarre, abusive management. The negative reviews are accurate. You will hear yelling, shouting, cursing, and insults thrown around casually. It’s usually directed at individuals. This comes from the very top CEO - the bad vibes trickle down through middle management and onto workers. Turnover is extremely high, lots of layoffs and outsourcing. Occasional free lunch doesn’t make up for the horrible culture. Systems are convoluted and there’s no real training process or HR, so a lot of times one hand doesn’t know what the other is doing.
