Globalization is a dream to those who couldn't care less about the jobless people in their own town. I understand the need for "cheap labor" but to be honest, you ALREADY HAVE CHEAP LABOR. You pay your employees well below industry standards and wonder why people are so miserable? "Greatest Places to Work"? No one that has worked here for over a year has gotten this survey to fill out and I think there's a clear reason behind it - we don't sip the terrible, terrible kool-aid anymore. They're telling everyone not to worry about their jobs being taken by global employees and yet, here we are, not even a year into it and *POOF*, jobs are disappearing left and right. We were once praised for bringing 1200 jobs to the Charleston area and now look at us... We are taking those jobs away from deserving people and sending it overseas for a quick buck. The only reason we are profitable this year is because of the atrocious "raises" associates received and the fact that they are able to pay global employees a lot less. I can't describe the amount of unnecessary stress and heartache working for this company has caused me and others around me. The new CEO should be ashamed of himself with how horribly things have turned since he walked through the door.
