Pros

I have been with BF longer than 90% of the company so please listen to me when reading this. The people are what make the company. Not all of them are rockstars but there are enough to get us through the day. Free coffee, sodas, snacks, some of the celebrations, and the occasional swag items just add to the experience. Many of the leaders try very hard to keep the culture we once had but given the rapid growth and global expansion it has proven to be very difficult. Shawn is without a doubt my favorite part of BF. I know some folks do not like him but every time I listen to him talk I get inspired and want to do more for so I can see us succeed.

Cons

Going global has been extremely challenging but that was mostly our own fault. We were not prepared to train one of them let alone 40+ "new hires" at a time. Not all of the offshore companies we deal with are bad. I have experience with all of them and I can say there are some rockstars from all of them but only one consistently delivers quality folks. We've made a lot of progress with training but we haven't gotten very far with preventing the low performers from being brought on. The right people are generally not recognized, it's usually just the people who "know people". There is a lot of unrecognized talent in the BF buildings that should be brought to the front. There's also a lot of people in leadership positions that have no resin to be there other than they know someone, have been there the longest, or had a fancy title at another company.
