Pros

I've made some amazing friends here.

Cons

HR feels useless. It feels like employees are afraid of speaking to the HR dept. It feels like Bentley would rather let their best employees (below the managerial level quit), rather than recognize them with an appropriate / competitive salary. It feels like Bentley would rather keep incompetent employees than fire them, because they cannot be bothered to interview, or properly vet new hires who can handle the requisite workload. It feels like hard-working employees are exploited and have to make up for those who are incapable of completing their own duties (this includes managers). Lack of accountability in certain departments is astounding. It seems like raises / promotions don't exist in fair proportion. (Read: It feels like VP's just promote each other, and managers create new upper management roles for each other without providing any career path for those under them.) It also seems like managers get moved from dept. to dept. instead of open positions being announced by HR, which means other employees are not fairly given a chance to apply for the role.
