Pros
The company culture has a strong emphasis on making the employees feel secure in their jobs. Additionally, the atmosphere is more helpful than cutthroat. On the technical side, some projects (but not all) are interesting to work on and involve new technologies.
Cons
The salaries are not very good compared to similar companies. Additionally, there are not many possibilities for career advancement given the low ratio of managers to engineers. On the technical side, a lot of the software base is quite old and needs to be maintained, which is not as interesting as developing new features.
