Pros

Berkshire Communities is a wonderful company that has offered growth for my career and has made the work environment very pleasent. I have noticed that the employees (whether in corporate or onsite) Berkshire has to offer is truly genuine and cares about helping each other out and going above and beyond. I have been working for them for over a year now and they offer great training and tools to make sure you understand their policies so their is no confusion. I have recently been accepted in the Property Manager in Training program and its been a great ride so far. The requirements make sure you understand protocols, contacts, and what the Managers "hat" feels like when your wearing it. A program like this is exactly what more companies should offer to help with your confidence in taking the next step. Personally, I am always looking for the next challenge. I love staying with a company for a while, but that doesn't mean complacency in my book. Another amazing perk is their benefits, they go above and beyond to make sure their employees are taken care of, more than enough vacation/sick and roll over time to help you balance out work/personal.

Cons

It may be more helpful for onsite if Berkshire offered more training tools for the maintenance team

Pros

Good company and culture. Awesome group of people. Good benefits and PTO package.

Cons

Recently they have been cutting positions for the onsite teams which is leaving minimal in person front line support which communities really need. This is putting a lot of stress and pressure on the onsite teams and is impacting work life balance which is something that Berkshire used to value more. Additionally, cutting positions does not give opportunities for growth.
