Pros

We are mostly owner managed, so I like that no matter which property you call or visit, we share the same policies. We are kept in the loop with corporate matters and business plans as a whole. There are town hall meetings with our District Manager and are specific to the position you hold within the business. We get to speak on an open forum regarding positive and possible negative things affecting our workplace. Across the city, there is in open communication is help or guidance is needed from other peers.

Cons

There needs to be more growth locally. Sometimes the required goals they want us to achieve seem to counteract with one another. So far, in one year, we write letters to Veterans on Veterans Day and we volunteer half a day at a food bank. More community give back would be appreciated. I think pay needs to be re-evaluated not just on performance but on current cost of living. Many employees cannot even afford to live on their own properties without a roommate. It takes FOREVER to let go of unproductive and negative employees and once they are finally gone, it takes FOREVER to hire new ones. Great talent is left burning the candle at both ends.

Pros

Good company and culture. Awesome group of people. Good benefits and PTO package.

Cons

Recently they have been cutting positions for the onsite teams which is leaving minimal in person front line support which communities really need. This is putting a lot of stress and pressure on the onsite teams and is impacting work life balance which is something that Berkshire used to value more. Additionally, cutting positions does not give opportunities for growth.
